In recent years, the cost per MWh of PV systems has dropped substantially, enabling them to compete with conventional technologies like Coal and Nuclear.
In countries like Afghanistan, where transmission and distribution networks are not well developed and parts of the population lack access to the national grid, investing in PV systems can often be more effective and sustainable than relying on centralized conventional technologies.
